Community Engagements

Goshens uses community engagements to reach the larger District of Mukono, and the country at large, with their educational programs. Goshens educates larger groups within the community such as expecting mothers, vulnerable families, and groups of school children about important health and wellness topics. Education on health topics in the community include: food demonstrations (teaching people to make healthy foods), HIV prevention and awareness (including testing), healthy breast feeding habits, women’s health, sanitation, and hygiene. Goshens is a unique organization that works with individuals in need, but also the community as a whole. These programs are highly valued by the community and they are vital to promoting greater healthy equity and development of the country at large.
