Economic Empowerment

Goshens strives to provide individuals with the ability to sustain their own health and well being through economic empowerment. These efforts in the community include gardening techniques and teaching people how to make briquettes (a source of fuel in Uganda). Another way that Goshens has provided economic empowerment has been providing sewing machines and teaching sewing to women in need so that they could start their own businesses to provide for themselves. Goshens prioritizes teaching practical ways that people can begin to generate revenue to that they may grow and provide for their own needs and the needs of their family.
